Structure

The ICPHR was founded by the Research Group Public Health at the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB), the Wellesley Institute (WI) in Toronto and the Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU). The Central Office, located in Berlin at the Institute for Social Health, Catholic University of Applied Sciences Berlin and headed by Prof. Michael T. Wright (formerly WZB), is responsible for the day‐to‐day management of the Collaboration. Direct support for the Central Office is provided by the Executive Committee composed of Dr. Brenda Roche, Dr. Bob Gardner (WI) and Prof. Jane Springett (University of Alberta, formerly LJMU).

Major decisions on the structure and content of the work of the Collaboration are made by the Central Working Group which has an oversight function for the Central Office and the Executive Committee.

The Central Working Group is composed of Prof. Wright, the members of the Executive Committee, and the coordinators of the Action Groups. At the Annual Working Meeting for all members of the Collaboration, the Action Groups present their work of the past year, and it is decided which current or emerging topics should be the focus of the Collaboration for the coming year.
