The position papers of the ICPHR are an important forum for defining and debating the practice and principles of participatory research in health. Multi-national editorial groups write the papers which are then circulated to the entire membership for comment. The input received is incorporated into the published version. At the Annual Working Meetings ideas for new papers are generated and the papers-in-progress are discussed. The position papers are living documents, based on the experience of the members of the ICPHR and their ongoing work to synthesize what has been learned in the context of studies conducted in various countries. | They will be revised over time, reflecting the collective knowledge of the ICPHR membership. In addition to position papers, we are introducing a discussion paper format so as to provide a forum for members to present their views on controversial topics and on topics that speak to very specific issues. Members who are interested in taking a lead on a position paper or a discussion paper should contact the Central Office. These four position papers are found below. |
